Road To Legacy | Episode 238

There’s another aspect of this idea of just
do something that I think’s important to address. And that is you know, we’ve all had those
days where we woke up and there was so much stuff to do, that we didn’t do anything. And sometimes there’s those times where you
feel like I don’t really have much to do, and you get some stuff done. But when you have so much to do, and so many
different things going on that you end up doing absolutely nothing. Like I’ve been in that paralyzing, you know,
position where like, man, I’ve got to do this, I’ve got to get this done, I’ve got to get
this done I’m going to take a nap. I’ve transitioned my role within our organization
of doing a lot of the coaching and training each week. So that means it’s putting me in a new state
each week, training our coordinators across the country. When I do that, it’s chaotic. And it’s, you know, 32 to 34 hours of work
inside a 48 hour period when I’m with those agents. And, you know, quite frankly, just logistically
thinking of how am I going to get two workouts in a day when I haven’t even been able to
get one in. It’s daunting, you feel like there’s so much
piled up, that you can’t even start to chip away. But the reality is progress one day at a time,
progress one step at a time, slow progress is still progress. It’s this idea of just do something. Just every single day, do something that’s
moving you in the right direction. Do something that’s moving you towards your
goal and when you think you’ve got everything to do, just starting by doing something and
then building upon that something and then building upon that something and next thing
you know, you turn around you’ve done it. What I have found in my own life is that when
I have been the most busy with the most structure, that’s the key, when I’ve been the most busy
with the most structure is when I have gotten even more things done than I thought was possible. I don’t know what it is about being busy when
it’s actual income producing activities and it’s structured activities that you know are
taking you where you want to go. That all sudden you find time to do all of
these other things. Discipline is the key to success like I love
when people are, you know, people will ask me, How do you stay so motivated, you seem
so motivated all the time? Like I’m not. I am not. It’s not about motivation. It’s about discipline. It’s about that do it anyway mentality that
we talked about in the Q&A two days ago. That when you don’t feel like it. When you don’t want to do it, doing it anyway. Doing the things that you know you’re supposed
to do, because those are the things that are going to get you moving in the right direction
towards your goals. There are a lot of people out there that they
are in situation right now where they feel like they are waiting on God. And I would just tell you that what if God’s
waiting on you? And what if there’s two sides to the coin
and then if you take one, one step, maybe the next step will be laid out in front of
you. And then if you take another step, maybe the
next step will seem more clear. If you take another step, then all sudden
you start to see a path down the road. But until you take that first step until you
show the initiative and you put in the effort and you start putting in action, why would
you expect anything, right just happen. And I feel like, there’s never going to be
a perfect time to start. There’s never going to be an ideal time where
you can say, Okay, now I’m ready. Now I’m ready to go all in on this. Because this that we’re talking about, this
is life. And every second wasted, every second that
you put off, to do something like this is a second they’ll never ever, ever be able
to get back. You know, you’ve talked about often we talked
about with our organization is we set these gigantic goals with the intention of people
to be able to look back and say, well, God’s hand is obviously in this because there’s
no way they could have done this on their own, but we’re going to do everything in our
possible possible, you know, abilities to get as far as we can go.
