It’s Not Just About Life Insurance at AIL; It’s About Changing Lives

Prior to coming to American Income Life I was in the bar and nightclub industry, which was something completely different from what I do today. I came to a point in my life where I wanted to do something completely different from being in the nightclub, learned that nothing really good happens after midnight so wanted to get in a different career path and was doing interviews and everybody was
looking for two to three years of experience 2 to 3 years of experience
and I had night club experience and that was it, you know, a business mindset, a college degree. One of my friends was doing really well with the company. His name is Dave Guzman he’s now a home office director. Saw him doing really well and we grew up together, so I knew if he could do it, that I had a shot for sure. I called Dave up, I said, “Hey, I’m looking for something different. I want to get out of the nightclub business,” and all he could promise me at that point was an interview, couldn’t promise me a position or anything. Came in, got the position and from there took it and ran. When I came in my wife had an expectation for me to make $2000 a month with the company and it looked like, from everything I saw, I could do that in a week and my first couple weeks I started to earn that type of income because every week that I brought home $2000 I felt like I bought a month from my wife. I can remember my father helping me out with a house payment while I was going through field training when I first started here. Now they can see the financial turnaround, but more importantly the man that I’ve become over time and developed and then developed others around me. This career is not the easiest career in the world. However, it’s one of the most rewarding personally, professionally, with your mind, with your body, with your spirit. It’s not just about life insurance, it’s about changing lives, what what we do. Opportunity unlimited to me means that there’s no glass ceiling, there’s nothing holding you back. You get out of this career path what you put into it.
