Hi. Welcome to bcbsm.com. This video will help you find coverage information within your member account. First, you’ll need to log in to your account. Go to bcbsm.com, and select ‘login’ in the upper right. Enter your username and password and select ‘Login’. You’re now at your member account homepage. Locate the navigation bar at the top and select ‘My Coverage.’ Select ‘Medical’ to see your medical coverage information. If your Blue Cross coverage includes dental or vision, you can find details by clicking on the type of plan here on the left or from the drop-down from the top. We’ll focus on medical coverage in this video. You’ll see ‘Overview & Balances,’ ‘What’s Covered’ and ‘Plan Documents.’ You may also see a ‘To-Do List,’ ‘Prescription Drugs’ and ‘Spending Accounts’ depending on the type of coverage you have. Now, let’s go to ‘Overview & Balances’ The amounts shown below reflect your in-network balances or the amount you paid for services done within your network. Here you’ll see how much each member on your plan has paid into your family balance. If you have copays, you’ll see them on the right. Any time you see a question mark, you can hover over it to get the definition or additional detail. By understanding these terms, you’ll be more informed and prepared when using your coverage. Let’s move on to ‘What’s Covered.’ Simply click one of the benefit categories to view more details about your coverage. On the left you’ll see a list of benefit categories. Let’s go through a quick example. Say you or someone in your family needs maternity services and you’re not sure what it’s going to cost you. Select maternity services. You’ll see the type of benefits and what you’ll expect to pay for these services. If you’re looking for more specific information about what your plan covers, click Plan Documents on the left. Here you can find documents such as a Summary of Benefits and Coverage, a glossary of terms and other critical plan information. Many of these documents are PDFs so you can easily download, save and print. If your pharmacy coverage is through Blue Cross, you’ll have access to the ‘Prescription Drugs’ section. You’ll find helpful links to view benefits and price and research prescription drugs. You can also access your prescription drug history. Thank you for watching.
